This beaded leather bracelet is hand made by the Maasai of Kenya using glass beads and Kenyan leather. We work with about 400 Maasai women organised in four groups. When you purchase a Maasai beaded product from us, you are supporting meaningful work that promotes women entreprise and supports education, especially girl child education, in this marginalised community. Educating a Maasai girl can help eradicate retrogressive cultural practices such as early marriages.

The Maasai community, being pastrolists, have been ravaged by effects of climate change. We are helping their women cope with the effects of climate change through monetizing their century old beading skills. This is equiping them to play a meaningful role to support their families and communities easing pressure on the family unit.
